Domain Name Registration Guidelines
If you want to register a domain name that is not a .com, .net, or .org domain, or you simply want to register
your domain name yourself (instead of having us do it for you), follow the directions below.
- Is Your Domain Name Already Taken?
If the domain you wish to register has already been registered by someone
else, than you must choose a different domain name. If you have already
registered it for use with another hosting provider, and you now want
to use it with your Virtual Private Server, see our Domain
Name Transfer Guidelines.
- Order the New Domain
Before your new domain name will resolve on the Internet, you must have us add it to our nameservers. Do
this by using our online Online Order Forms.
Use the New Domain Wizard.
NOTE: Be sure to request that we DO NOT register the
domain for you, if you want to register it yourself.
- Wait
It will take some time (perhaps one day or so) for your new domain name to begin resolving on the Internet.
If you have any specific questions about registering a domain name that are not answered in this document, do
not hesitate to Contact Our Domain Master.
