CPX Control Panel Installation

Connect to your Virtual Private Server via SSH, su to root, and issue this command:
# vinstall cpx
The installer will make the following changes to your server setup:
  • Upgrade Perl to 5.8.4
  • Install mod_perl if necessary
  • Install mod_rewrite if necessary
  • Install the ControlPanel handler for mod_perl
  • Install ClamAV, SpamAssassin, and procmail. Procmail will be setup as the sendmail local delivery agent
  • Existing ClamAV and SpamAssassin installations will be slightly modified to work with CPX
  • Install Savelogs (or upgrade to 1.81 if previously installed).
  • Start the control panel daemon 'vsapd'
  • Create virtusertable entries for existing mail users as well as add default catchalls for all domains (as found in /etc/mail/local-host-names)
You can access CPX by going to the following URL:
https://YOUR-DOMAIN.NAME/ControlPanel/
Any User setup in CPX can use the Webmail and Profile/Preferences features of CPX. New users can be added using the CPX Control Panel or by command line using the following command:
# vadduser --cpx
NOTE: Due to the high number of possible account configurations or modifications, there is no guarantee that CPX will perform reliably on existing VPS v2 accounts. CPX was designed and tested specifically on new server configurations and a small number of existing configurations. We strongly recommend that you read the Installation Advisory before installing CPX on any existing accounts.
NOTE: Some modules in CPX are similar in functionality to iManager. However, they are not interchangeable. Serious problems can occur when alternating between the two interfaces for managing email and subhosts. If you install and use the CPX mail and domain management, you should NOT use these same features in iManager.
