CPX Control Panel Release Notes


Introduction

This document is current as of 06/06/2007. Bugs and other considerations may be introduced after the creation of this document. Consult the product Web sites for the most current information about CPX: Control Panel (or CPX) products and plans.

This document describes the new elements introduced with this release.

Outstanding Issues Resolved

The CPX: Control Panel June 2007 release includes resolution to over 50 outstanding issues. Issues resolved include items related to the following:
  • Webmail
  • File Management and User Quotas
  • Settings and Preferences

Webmail

This release resolves the following issues regarding Webmail:
  • Chinese characters display incorrectly.
  • Carriage returns in the comments of entries cause address book corruption.
  • Certain special characters, such as the Microsoft bullet character (•) do not display correctly.
  • Filenames using double-byte characters display incorrectly.
  • Certain autoreply settings and situations can lead to autoreply loops.
  • The compose email fields can appear vertically for Japanese-enabled browsers in certain situations.
  • The domain of an autoreply email address can appear incorrectly.
  • Messages including accented characters may not be sent correctly.
  • Emails encoded in plain text and html display incorrectly.
  • Certain email clients may not display messages sent from CPX Webmail with nonstandard encodings.
  • Autoreply messages may appear to originate from the incorrect address when only certain members of an email list have autoreply messages configured.
  • The Save Draft option may not function correctly for Japanese-enabled browsers.
  • Sent messages may not be saved correctly in the Sent Items folder.

File Management and User Quotas

This release resolves the following issues regarding file management and user quotas:
  • File names with special characters such as the question mark (?) can cause errors.
  • The quota for Domain Administrator users may not be calculated correctly in conjunction with user quotas which that Domain Administrator manages.
  • Settings and Preferences
  • This release resolves the following issues regarding settings and preferences:
  • Setting the Start Path to a symbolic link is not possible.
  • An invalid email contact address given for a new domain causes errors.
  • Certain non-local contact email address may revert to local addresses under certain conditions.
  • Error messages logging can become excessive.
  • Default services are not consistent when creating a domain only and when creating a Domain Administrator user and also adding a domain.
  • Certain special characters in passwords can cause repeated login screens.
  • Some situations do not allow the display of the View Account Information screen.
  • The iTunes podcasting RSS feed configuration information is nonstandard.
  • User configuration set to deliver mail to multiple destinations can be reset under certain conditions.
  • Certain characters such as dash (-) and period (.) in domain names can be interpreted as the same character by the system.
