Server Software Update Notification: 04-21-2007
The following updates will be completed 04/25/2007 on all servers:
Linux MPS/VPS:
- Sendmail RBL
- The vinstall for the Sendmail RBL (real-time blackhole list) subscription utility will be updated to allow authenticated
connections to send email through the server, even if the connecting IP address is on a blackhole list. It is strongly
recommended that anyone who has installed Sendmail RBL through the vinstall update their configuration by connecting to
your server through SSH and executing the following from the command prompt:
# vinstall sendmail-rbls
- Pine
- The Pine command-line email and news reader version 4.64 will be added to the system. More information about Pine can

- ProFTPD
- The ProFTPD GPL-licensed FTP server will be updated to disable the init script and more appropriately run the
application from xinetd.

- vadduser
- The vadduser command-line utility will be updated to restart Sendmail after adding a new user when CPX is installed.

- phpPgAdmin
- A vinstall for the phpPgAdmin Web-based administration tool for PostgreSQL version 4.1.1 will be added to the system.

be updated to correctly stop the clamd process and remove the freshclam information from the /etc/crontab file. These

- The proprietary email commands vnewaliases and vnewvirtmaps will be added to the Linux MPS/VPS system. These commands

- The vinstall for Jakarta Tomcat will be updated to configure the utility to correctly mount directories. To take
advantage of this update or install Tomcat, connect to your server through SSH and execute the following from the command line:

- OpenSSH
- The portable OpenSSH connectivity tool will be updated to version 4.6.p1,1. This version brings the tool to the most

- The vinstall for the Zend Optimizer PHP enhancement utility will be updated to install version 3.2.4 and will no longer

servers for a machine. This allows accounts to configure Apache startup options in the /etc/rc.conf file.

- Apache Portable Runtime
- The Apache Portable Runtime (APR) library configuration scripts for the Apache Web Server will be moved from
