Server Software Update Notification - 01-28-2008
Important Updates in ths Notification:
 Note: All updates listed in this document are classified as “No Action Needed.”
Control Panel GUI
Several Control Panel GUI updates are part of this release. These updates enhance the customer experience by providing a more robust feature set and a refinement of current functionality:
- Passwords
- The Password feature has been updated so that customers must use at least one number and passwords must be at least 6 characters long, providing greater security for the account.
- Database Checking
- The Control Panel was updated so that it will not display WordPress or PHPMyFAQ if the customer's plan does not support database access. This ensures that a customer can not attempt to use a feature that is not enabled.
- Mail Availability Display
- The Control Panel was updated so that mail features are not visible when the customer does not have an account that includes the mail feature. This ensures that a customer can not attempt to use a feature that is not enabled.
- Help Topic Display
- The Control Panel GUI was updated so that the proper topic appears when customers click the Help Icon while viewing the Change Password window.
- Address Book
- The Address Book feature has been updated so that it now supports Japanese Characters.
- Japanese Language Support for Message Board
- The Message Board has been updated so that it supports Japanese. Customers who operate Signature in Japanese can now use the Message Board with options enabling the feature in the same language.
Mail Updates
Several Mail updates have been completed for this release. These updates enhance the customer experience by reducing the amount of errors that could possibly arise when using the various features associated with mail in Signature:
- Japanese Language Support for FormMail
- FormMail has been updated so that it supports Japanese. Customers who operate Signature in Japanese can now use FormMail with options enabling the feature in the same language.
- Black List and White List
- The Control Panel Black List and White list filter GUI was updated so that it is more compatible with Safari browsers. Customers can now create either Black List or White List entries using Safari without data appearing on the wrong list.
- Email Blocks
- The Email Blocking feature was upgraded so that it will properly block email messages from the domains specified by the customer, and will produce an error message when the customer tries to enter the same domain name twice. Also, the code was updated so that a customer could edit email blocks even if the number of blocks is at the system limit.
- Custom Filters
- The Custom Filters feature was updated so that when a customer creates multiple filter elements, none of the elements are lost when the entire filter is updated.
- Autoreplies
- Autoreply feature updated so that when customers edit an existing Autoreply, the system does not delete other Autoreplies already created.
Help System
The Help System was updated with new files, changed files, and deleted/combined files. This enables customers to access and understand help files with more ease than the last release. Help files for both English and Japanese customers have been updated for this release.
