Server Software Update Notification: 05-23-2008
Important updates in this Notification:
- Zend Optimizer for Linux and v3
- Enhanced Webmail (beta) for Linux, v3, and v2

The following dist will be completed 5/28/2008 on all servers:
Linux MPS/VPS:
- SpamAssassin
- The vinstall for the SpamAssassin mail filter will be updated to install version 3.2.4_1. This version updates the filter. The SpamAssassin service will be restarted as part of this update. No action needed for existing installations.
- Zend Optimizer
- The vinstall for the Zend Optimizer PHP enhancement utility will be updated to install version 3.3.3.
To update existing installations, connect to your server through SSH and execute the following commands from the prompt:
# vuninstall zendoptimizer
# vinstall zendoptimizer
- Enhanced Webmail (beta)

Note: This is a beta release and at this time the software should not be
used for mission-critical projects. At this time Enhanced Webmail is only provided in English.
The vinstall for Enhanced Webmail will be updated to address several issues, including:
- replying to messages
- online help display
- displayed addresses
- syncing
- installation options
To update Enhanced Webmail, connect to your server through SSH and execute the following from the command prompt:

- mod_python
- A vuninstall for the mod_python Apache Python module will be added to the system. To remove mod_python from your account, connect to your account through SSH and execute the following from the command prompt:
# vinstall mod_python
- Ruby on Rails
- The vuninstall for the Ruby on Rails web framework will be updated to not remove Ruby packages during the uninstall. No action needed.
- Dovecot
- The Dovecot email server will be updated to version 1.0.13. This version addresses a security issue in passdbs and issues with privileged groups and IMAP threads. More information about version 1.0.13 can be found here:

The email server will be restarted as part of this update. No action needed.
- SquirrelMail
- The vinstall for the SquirrelMail Webmail package will be updated to improve locale support and address issues with folder configurations. To update existing installations, make a backup of any special configurations, remove the application, then connect to your server through SSH and execute the following from the command prompt:

- Urchin 5
- The vinstall for Urchin Web Analytics version 5 will be updated to address issues with subhost Web server configurations. This update affects the vinstall only. No action needed.
- ClamAV
- The vuninstall for ClamAV, a GPL virus scanner, will be updated to address issues with stopping processes. This update affects the vuninstall only. No action needed.

Signature
All updates listed for this platform are classified as "No Action Needed."
- Webmail
- Updated Webmail so that when customers try to deselect the "Forward Mail as Attachment" checkbox on a message they want to forward, that the application will perform as expected.
- File Manager
- Updated File Manager in the Japanese Language Control Panel so that customers performing actions (Copy/Move/Rename, etc) on files containing Japanese characters will experience the expected result.
- Control Panel
- Updated the Control Panel so that the following applications open in a separate window:
- gallery.xml
- phpmyfaq.xml
- pukiwiki.xml
- wordpress.xml
- SSL Certificate Installs
- Updated code so that customers will be able to install new SSL certificates without having to first remove the current CSR or CERT. Previously, when a customer had a CSR or Cert in place, attempting to add a new CERT would fail.
