iManager Administrative Tools and Wizards

The Tools and Wizards allow you to manage user accounts; create e-mail aliases and autoreplies; add IP addresses and URLs to your spammers file; and manage your subhosts.

Logging-in as the iManager Administrator

You can access the administrative functions of iManager by entering the following URL into your web browser:
https://YOUR-DOMAIN.NAME/imanager/
Log in as an Administrative User (please read the note below).
NOTE: Logging in using the https:// prefix will access iManager over a secure SSL encryption. Since only an Administrative User can access the iManager administrative Tools and Wizards, this login should ONLY be done over SSL.

Tools and Wizards

You can choose to view, add, edit, remove, and rebuild the database with each tool. The Virtual Hosts wizard gives you the option to Restart Apache, if necessary.
  • Users
Users can be configured to include e-mail, ftp, web, and/or shell privileges, which may or may not be restrained by a disk space quota.
  • Aliases
You can instruct your Virtual Server to 'alias' or forward e-mail addressed to a specific address to one or more recipients. You may also forward an e-mail message to a special processing program such as an autoresponder.
  • Virtmaps
Virtual address mappings are tailored specifically for virtual subhosts that may be configured on your Virtual Server. You will want to use virtmaps to resolve possible delivery conflicts between one or more domain names. For example, 'webmaster@virtualhost1' and 'webmaster@virtualhost2' would require the use of virtmaps to guarantee e-mail is delivered to two separate addresses rather than one.
  • Spammers
You can configure your Virtual Server to block incoming e-mail from specific addresses and/or domain names. Labelled as 'spammers', the addresses and/or domain names you identify in this file, will not be allowed to deliver e-mail to the users, aliases, or virtmaps configured on your Virtual Server.
  • Virtual Hosts
Virtual Hosting allows you to support multiple domain names on a single VPS. You can give each virtual host its own unique ftp login, e-mail addresses, and web site. For your convenience, when adding or editing Virtual Hosts entries, a built-in, editable template is provided which you can use to quickly populate Virtual Host directive definitions.
