Your private server supports FML, an open-source mailing list driver maintained by Ken'ichi Fukamachi
(http://www.fml.org/index.html.en). The driver is available for free under the terms of the GPL. FML requires one mail
server software program such as sendmail, postfix, qmail, exim, or zmailer, as well as Perl to operate.
The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol authentication extension (SMTP AUTH), is the preferred and standard method for
managing email relay since it overcomes many of the short-comings of POP before SMTP. With SMTP AUTH, email client
software like Outlook, Eudora, Pine, etc. can be configured to send a user ID and password to the account during the
course of mail delivery.
